Xie Yuxin
Xie Yuxin (; born 12 October 1968 in Xingning, Guangdong) is a retired Chinese international footballer. He made more than 100 appearances for his country in international competitions. On 6 February 1987, Yuxin signed for PEC Zwolle '82, becoming the first Chinese person to play professional football abroad. He also held the record for being the youngest footballer, 1987-1996, at the age of 18 and youngest scorer, 1988-2003, at the age of 19, for the China national football team. Club career Xie Yuxin was a diminutive but highly skilled promising young player who was scouted and then transferred to Dutch football club FC Zwolle and would become the first Chinese player to play in professional football abroad. The 1994 Asian Games ( ja, 1994年アジア競技大会, ''Senkyūhyakukyūjūyon-nen Ajia kyōgi taikai''), also known as the XII Asiad and the 12th Asian Games ( ja, 第12回アジア競技大会, Daijūni-kai Ajia kyōgi taikai), were held from October 2 to 16, 1994, in Hiroshima, Japan. The main theme of this edition was to promote peace and harmony among Asian nations. It was emphasized by the host because the venue was the site of the first atomic bomb attack 49 years earlier. Due to the 1991 Gulf War, Iraq was suspended from the games. The games debuted former republics of the Soviet Union: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. There were a total number of 6,828 athletes and officials involved, from 42 countries, with a total number of 34 events. Kallang is a planning area and residential town located in the Central Region of Singapore. Development of the town is centered around the Kallang River, the longest river in Singapore. Football At The 1988 Summer Olympics
An association football tournament was played as part of the 1988 Summer Olympics. The tournament featured 16 men's national teams from six continental confederations. The teams were drawn into four groups of four with each group playing a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the gold medal match at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on 1 October 1988. Before the final match, the Soviets relocated from the Olympic Village to Soviet steamship stationed nearby. Guangzhou Matsunichi Football Club () was a professional football club based in Guangzhou, Guangdong, PR China who last played in the 21,570 capacity Xihe Sports Centre in Shaoguan. The club was established when the youth team for Guangzhou F.C. whom were allowed to participate within the Chinese football league pyramid and have promoted to the second tier was sold-off to Pan Sutong and his company Matsunichi Digital Holdings Limited to form a separate club on 28 February 1995.
