Xico, Valle De Chalco
Xico is a city in the State of Mexico, Mexico. It serves as the municipal seat of Valle de Chalco municipality, with which it is, for all practical purposes, coterminous. The municipality lies adjacent to the east side of the Federal District (Distrito Federal) and is part of the Mexico City metropolitan area. The city and municipality lie on the old lakebed of Lake Chalco, which was drained like much of the Basin of Mexico. The city name comes from the nearby Xico hill (Cerro de Xico) and the name of the municipality comes from the old lake plus a reference to the "Programa Nacional de Solidaridad" (National Program of Solidarity) which was initiated here. The municipality's glyph and shield make reference to both names. It is a distinct entity from the city and municipality of Chalco, which is nearby. Francisco "Xico" Ferreira (23 August 1919 – 14 February 1986) was a Portuguese footballer who played as a midfielder. Over the course of 15 seasons, he amassed Primeira Liga totals of 278 games and twenty-three goals, mainly at Benfica, winning ten major titles. He is also notable for ill-fated reasons, after a friendly in his honor between Benfica and Torino, as the Italian team returned home, their plane crashed into the Basilica of Superga, killing all aboard and ending the Grande Torino team. Club career Born in Guimarães, Ferreira arrived at Porto at 17, he made his debut for the ''northerners'' in the 1937 Campeonato de Portugal Final, against Sporting on 4 July 1937. Description Xico was a Mexican restaurant in southeast Portland's Richmond neighborhood. ''Eater Portland'' Brooke Jackson-Glidden said the "contemporary" restaurant had a "Pacific Northwestern akeon Mexican food". Xico's queso had chorizo and salsa verde. The drinking menu featured a mezcal collection and a habanero-caramel hot chocolate. As of 2015, the restaurant offered a popular rotisserie chicken dinner for two.
