Xiaohan (), is a Singaporean female Chinese pop music lyricist. Biography She published her first lyrical work ('義無反顧' performed by 阮丹青) in 1998. Ever since 2000, where she earned a nomination spot in the Singapore Hit Awards with '你抽的煙', Xiaohan has been a consistent nominee in the annual event. She became the first female to be crowned Best Local Lyricist at the Singapore Hit Awards 2002 with '紙飛機'.Xin Msn Yes 93.3FM,Past Winners of Singapore Hit Awards", 7 June 2012 Xiaohan reclaimed the title again in 2004, with '無底洞'. The Golden Melody Awards (), commonly abbreviated as GMA, is an honor awarded by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture to recognize outstanding achievement in the Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien, Hakka, and Formosan-languages popular and traditional music industry. The GMAs are awarded on the basis of votes by members of jury, and it has constantly been recognized as the equivalent to the Grammy Awards in Chinese-speaking world. The Speak Mandarin Campaign (SMC; ) is an initiative by the government of Singapore to encourage the Singaporean Chinese population to speak Standard Mandarin Chinese, one of the four official languages of Singapore. 2004 Tsunami
An earthquake and a tsunami, known as the Boxing Day Tsunami and, by the scientific community, the Sumatra–Andaman earthquake, occurred at 07:58:53 local time (UTC+7) on 26 December 2004, with an epicentre off the west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia. It was an undersea megathrust earthquake that registered a magnitude of 9.1–9.3 , reaching a Mercalli intensity up to IX in certain areas. Joi Chua
Joi Chua (, born 3 August 1978) is a Singaporean female pop singer. Her most famous songs are "Waiting for a Sunny Day" (《等一个晴天》), "Watching the Sunrise With Me" (《陪我看日出》), the Chinese version of " Nada Soso" and "Wind Chimes" (《风铃》).
