Xiao He (composer)
He Tongjian, also known as Xiao He (February 1918 – 8 September 2010), was a Chinese composer from Shangrao, Jiangxi, and a lifetime honorary medal winner of the first Chinese Music Golden Bell Award. He is most notable for composing the melody of the Guinea-Bissauan national anthem, " Esta É a Nossa Pátria Bem Amada". Biography Xiao He was born in February 1918 in the city of Shangrao in Jiangxi, a province in Southern China. He started his apprenticeship at the age of 14. He took part in the Anti-Japanese Movement in February 1938, joined the People's Liberation Army and the Chinese Communist Party the following year, and enlisted in the New Fourth Army in February 1940. He has successively served as an officer in the Literature and Art Department of the Ministry of Culture, a composer on the Art Troupe of the Political Department, the director of the Academic Affairs Office of the PLA Academy of Art, director of cadre training, and the second and third directors of ... Shangrao
Shangrao () is a medium-sized prefecture-level city located in the northeast of Jiangxi province, People's Republic of China. The city borders the province of Anhui to the north, the province of Zhejiang to the east, and the province of Fujian to the south. Also, the city's western reaches extend into Poyang Lake. Shangrao had a population of 6,491,088 as of 2020 census whom 1,293,399 lived in the built up (''or metro'') area made of Xinzhou and Guangxin districts, Guangfeng District not being conurbated yet. African Party For The Independence Of Guinea And Cape Verde
The African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde ( pt, Partido Africano para a Independência da Guiné e Cabo Verde, PAIGC) is a political party in Guinea-Bissau. Originally formed to peacefully campaign for independence from Portugal, the party turned to armed conflict in the 1960s and was one of the belligerents in the Guinea-Bissau War of Independence. Towards the end of the war, the party established a socialist one-party state, which remained intact until multi-party democracy was introduced in the early 1990s. Although the party won the first multi-party elections in 1994, it was removed from power in the 1999–2000 elections. However, it returned to office after winning parliamentary elections in 2004 and presidential elections in 2005, since which it has remained the largest party in the National People's Assembly. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), officially the Communist Party of China (CPC), is the founding and sole ruling party of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
