Xiao Guanyin
Xiao Guanyin (; 1040–13 December 1075), known as the Empress Yide (懿德皇后) during her tenure from 1055 to 1075, and as Empress Xuanyi (宣懿皇后) after her death, was an empress consort of the Liao dynasty of China, married to her cousin Emperor Daozong. She was falsely accused of adultery and forced to commit suicide. Xiao Guanyin was described as "exceedingly beautiful". A sinicized Khitan, she was a ''pipa'' virtuoso and wrote songs as well as Chinese poetry. Fourteen of her poems have survived, which have all been translated into English. Biography Xiao Guanyin was the daughter of Xiao Hui and Yelü Shuogu. Yelü Shuogu was the daughter of Xiao Noujin and Emperor Shengzong of Liao, and Xiao Hui was the brother of Xiao Noujin - an ambitious woman who was involved in the murder of a former Empress Dowager and a plot to overthrow her son, Emperor Xingzong. Liao Dynasty
The Liao dynasty (; Khitan: ''Mos Jælud''; ), also known as the Khitan Empire (Khitan: ''Mos diau-d kitai huldʒi gur''), officially the Great Liao (), was an imperial dynasty of China that existed between 916 and 1125, ruled by the Yelü clan of the Khitan people. Founded around the time of the collapse of the Tang dynasty, at its greatest extent it ruled over Northeast China, the Mongolian Plateau, the northern part of the Korean Peninsula, southern portions of the Russian Far East, and the northern tip of the North China Plain. The dynasty had a history of territorial expansion. The most important early gains was the Sixteen Prefectures (including present-day Beijing and part of Hebei) by fueling a proxy war that led to the collapse of the Later Tang dynasty (923–936). Emperor Shizong Of Liao
Emperor Shizong of Liao (29 January 919 – 7 October 951), personal name Wuyu, Sinicization, sinicised name Yelü Ruan, was the third Emperor of China, emperor of the Khitan people, Khitan-led Liao dynasty of China. He was the son of Yelü Bei, the eldest son of Abaoji, Abaoji (Emperor Taizu), the founder of the Liao dynasty. He ascended to the imperial throne in 947 after the death of his uncle, Emperor Taizong of Liao, Emperor Taizong, who raised him in his father's absence. Ascension Emperor Taizong was on campaign in China when he died in 947. Yelü Ruan accompanied him on this campaign, allowing him to quickly gain the support of the military leaders. While returning to the capital, his grandmother, Empress Dowager Yingtian, had plotted to have her third son, Yelü Lihu, ascend to the throne, and sent an army to intercept her grandson. ''Forced'' is a single-player and co-op action role-playing game developed by BetaDwarf, released in October 2013 for Windows, OS X and Linux through the Steam platform as well as Wii U. It is about gladiators fighting for their freedom in a fantasy arena where they are assisted by a spirit-like character called Balfus. Gameplay consists of selecting a weapon class and abilities to combat the various enemies of each arena, while solving puzzles using the help of Balfus. BetaDwarf was formed by a small group of students in 2011, who began developing the game in an unused classroom in Aalborg University – Copenhagen, Denmark. They were removed months later and launched a successful Kickstarter campaign involving an Imgur picture which documented their progress. Yelü Lübugu
Yelü Lübugu () or known by her title as Princess of Yan State (), was a Liao dynasty princess and the first daughter of Emperor Taizong of Liao. She then married Prime Minister Xiao Siwen and bore him the three Xiao Sisters (Xiao Hunian, Lady Xiao and Xiao Yanyan). However, she died from her illness. Her youngest daughter Xiao Yanyan married with Yelü Xian and in 969 and become the Liao empress.
