Xhevdet Bajraj ( Serbo-Croat: ''Dževdet Bajraj''; 1960 – 22 June 2022) was an ethnic Albanian Kosovar poet and screenwriter who resided in Mexico. Biography Born in the Socialist Autonomous Province of Kosovo, Bajraj was granted residency in Mexico as a refugee thanks to the International Parliament of Writers that offered him the options of France, Italy or Mexico. He fled the war in the Kosovo for a more peaceful Mexico City where he resided with his wife (a physician) and two children. Bajraj died on 22 June 2022 in Mexico City due to a brain tumor. Xhevdet Doda
Xhevdet Doda ( sh-Cyrl-Latn, Џевдет Дода, Dževdet Doda; 1906–1945) was a Yugoslavian teacher by profession who was active in the resistance against German occupation in Kosovo during World War II. Doda was member of the Yugoslav Partisans and member of the Liberation Council of Kosovo. He was arrested by Gestapo in 1944 and killed in the Mauthausen concentration camp (Bicerk-1). He was posthumously proclaimed People's Hero of Yugoslavia in 1973. Biography Doda was born in Prizren in 1906 into an ethnic Albanian family. For a short time, Doda, worked as a lecturer at an Albanian school in Novi Pazar, Sandžak. Xhevdet Shabani (born 10 October 1986) is a retired Kosovar professional footballer who played as a midfielder. The last club he played for was FC Prishtina. He is nicknamed as "Rrapa". Club career Teuta Durrës In June 2014, Shabani moved for the first time aboard and signed with Albanian Superliga side Teuta Durrës for the 2014–15 season.
