Xeun-am
XEUN-AM is a radio station in Mexico City. Broadcasting on 860 AM, XEUN-AM is owned by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) as a sister to XEUN-FM 96.1 and XHUNAM-TDT 20. History On June 14, 1937, the Cultural Broadcasting Administration of UNAM was formed, and rector Luis Chico Goerne officially dedicated the facilities of the university's new radio station on Justo Sierra 16 in Mexico City. From 1937 to 1939, the station bore the calls XEXX and was located at 1170 kHz, broadcasting at 5 kW four hours a day; in 1939, the station moved to 860 kHz and took the XEUN calls. At the same time, UNAM shortwave radio signed on, as XEYU 9.6 MHz with 1,000 watts of power. XEUN-FM
XEUN-FM is a radio station in Mexico City. Broadcasting on 96.1 FM, XEUN-FM is owned by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) as a sister to XEUN-AM 860 and XHUNAM-TDT 20. History XEUN-FM signed on July 16, 1959, from a transmitter located on the Torre Rectoría (Rectory Tower), broadcasting with 1 kW of power. XEUN-FM's power was increased to 50 kW when the station moved to new facilities in 1976. In 1992, the FM station moved to a new tower in Ajusco, on land that had been donated to UNAM in 1986 by the government of the Federal District; the move decreased the station's power to 35 kW, which then increased to its current 100 kW with another new transmitter in 1995. Programming XEUN-FM split from its AM simulcast upon the move to Ajusco in 1992. XHUNAM-TDT is a low-power digital television station operating on channel 20 in Mexico City, owned by and broadcasting from the campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). History XHUNAM began broadcasts on analog channel 60 on December 5, 2000, where it broadcast for five years. On November 30, 2005, however, XHUNAM launched its digital signal, one of the first in the country and also one of the first digital-only stations in Mexico. Ticomán
Ticomán is an archaeological site located in the Gustavo A. Madero municipality in Mexico City. It corresponds to an ancient town of the Pre-Classical Mesoamerican period, whose inhabitants could have been Otomis. It was a contemporary population of Tlatilco, Cuicuilco, El Arbolillo and Zacatenco. Location Ticomán was a town located on the northwest bank of the Lake Texcoco. To the north of the site is the Sierra de Guadalupe. Some towns near Ticomán were Tlatilco and Zacatenco. The origin of the name of this town comes from ''Tepecoma'' or ''Tecota'', which means handmade hill. Ajusco
Ajusco is a lava dome volcano located just south of Mexico City, Mexico, in the Tlalpan borough of the city. It is the highest point in the city. Etymology Ajusco is a Náhuatl word variously translated as "source of waters" or "watered grove", and the Lerma River and Balsas River draw some of their source waters from this area. Also, the flow from all of the remaining strong springs in the area adjacent to the peak are captured to augment Mexico City's water supply. Geology Ajusco is a lava dome complex of Pliocene-Pleistocene age, surrounded by block and ash flow deposits.
