Xavier Enrique Torres
Xavier Enrique Torres is a Puerto Rican actor, born in San Juan. He is the son of journalist and news anchor Ramón Enrique Torres, and brother of journalist Layza Torres. In 2006, he got his first opportunity to enter the American mainland market with a starring role in the Lifetime Television Network film ''Break In''. In the film, he plays “Angel”, a young thief who kidnaps a group of tourists who were on vacation in the Caribbean. Torres then obtained a part in the acclaimed HBO original series ''Entourage'', becoming the second Latin actor to take part in the show. Here, he played the role of “Javier Gracho”, a dreamy soap opera actor who has a romantic scene with “Mrs. Ari”, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Jeremy Piven's onscreen wife interpreted by Perry Reeves. Ramón Enrique Torres Guzmán (October 26, 1952 – December 13, 2023) was a Puerto Rican reporter, journalist, and news anchor. He served as the news anchor of ''Informe 79'' from Mega TV (U.S. TV network), Mega TV Puerto Rico. He formerly served as the news anchor for the show ''Las Noticias'' from Univision Puerto Rico before the Network abruptly canceled it on October 17, 2014. Torres began his career in television in 1976. He worked for nine years at WKAQ-TV, Telemundo, working alongside veteran reporter Aníbal González Irizarry. In 1986, he returned to WLII, Tele-Once where he served as news anchor of ''Las Noticias''. In 2011, he and his daughter, reporter Layza Torres, joined ''Tu Mañana'' as news anchor, alongside Elwood Cruz. Torres was also the father of actor Xavier Enrique Torres.
