Xavier Darasse
François Xavier Darasse (3 September 1934 – 24 November 1992) was a French organist, musicologist, composer, and pedagogue. The (Organs of Toulouse) festival organise the ''International Xavier Darasse Organ Competition'' every three years in his honour. He was titular organist of the Basilica of Saint-Sernin in his hometown, Toulouse. Life Darasse was born in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) into a family of musicians (his mother, Renée-Marie Darasse-Laroyenne, was an organist) in 1964 and is a namesake of Saint Francis Xavier. He was a student of Maurice Duruflé, Rolande Falcinelli, Jean Rivier and Olivier Messiaen at the Conservatoire de Paris. In parallel with his career as a concert organist, he was a professor at the and then at the Conservatoire de Lyon, the organ class of the latter being "relocated" to Toulouse. Alain Louvier
Alain Louvier (born 13 September 1945) is a French composer of contemporary classical music. Biography Born in Paris, Louvier studied from 1953 to 1967 at the headed by Marcel Landowski, then from 1967 to 1970 at the Conservatoire de Paris with Henriette Puig-Roget, Olivier Messiaen, Tony Aubin, Robert Veyron-Lacroix, Norbert Dufourcq and Manuel Rosenthal. In 1968, he won the 161st and last annual Prix de Rome for musical composition. He then headed the École Nationale de Musique of Boulogne-Billancourt. A tenor is a type of classical music, classical male singing human voice, voice whose vocal range lies between the countertenor and baritone voice types. It is the highest male chest voice type. The musical term alto, meaning "high" in Italian (Latin: ''altus''), historically refers to the contrapuntal part higher than the tenor and its associated vocal range. In 4-part voice leading alto is the second-highest part, sung in choruses by either low women's or high men's voices. Jean-Pierre Guézec (19 August 1934 – 9 March 1971) was a French composer. Life Born in Dijon, Guézec studied music at the Conservatoire de Paris with Darius Milhaud, Jean Rivier and Olivier Messiaen. He also worked with Iannis Xenakis. His very personal language is influenced by the techniques of modern painting, in particular those of Mondrian and Vasarely. His research led him to compose works in which the contrasts of sound materials and a very original sense of colour dominate, as evidenced by the title of his works. A brass quintet is a five-piece musical ensemble composed of Brass instrument, brass instruments. The instrumentation for a brass quintet typically includes two Trumpet, trumpets or Cornet, cornets, one French horn, one trombone or euphonium/baritone horn, and one tuba or bass trombone. Antoine Tisné
Antoine Tisné (29 July 1932 – 19 July 1998) was a French composer. Life Born in Lourdes, Tisné began his musical studies at the Tarbes Conservatory. He entered the Conservatoire de Paris in 1952 in a music writing class. He was then a student of Georges Hugon in harmony and Noël Gallon and Jean Rivier in fugue and counterpoint, then had Darius Milhaud and André Jolivet as his teachers. He won a Second Grand Prix de Rome in 1962. Luis de Pablo Costales (28 January 1930 – 10 October 2021) was a Spanish composer belonging to the generation that Cristóbal Halffter named ''the Generación del 51''.
