X Games Austin 2014
X Games Austin 2014 was an action sporting event that took place over June 5–8, 2014, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Another Venue used for the event was the Austin 360 Amphitheater. While the Summer X Games in past years was typically held in California, this was the first full X Games event to be held in the state of Texas; in 2003, a special " Global Championships" event was held in San Antonio, Texas. The games were originally announced to be held on May 15–18, but were slipped to the next month, the reason given by ESPN was for a more favorable broadcast window. X Games Austin gained a 4-day attendance of 160,000 and an all-time total of 5,069,115. Circuit Of The Americas
Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a Grade 1 FIA-specification motor racing track and facilities located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Austin, Texas, in the United States. The facility is home to the Formula One United States Grand Prix, NASCAR's Texas Grand Prix, and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas, a round in MotoGP. It previously hosted the Australian V8 Supercars, the Americas Rallycross Championship, the American Le Mans Series, the Rolex Sports Car Series, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IndyCar Classic. Robert Dean Silva Burnquist (; born 10 October 1976) is a Brazilian-American professional skateboarder who competed for Brazil throughout his career. In 2010, he became the first skateboarder to land a "fakie 900" (900-degree reverse-natural rotation), making Burnquist the fifth person in history to successfully complete the 900 trick. Morgan Wade (born July 13, 1983) is an American professional BMX rider from Tyler, Texas. He is best known for competing in the X Games. Early life Wade was born in Tyler, Texas to Sally Wade, a High School Teacher, and Lee Wade, a construction foreman. Dennis Enarson (born April 19, 1991 in La Mesa, California) is a professional BMX rider who has won 10 X Games medals and Dew Tour Dirt Jumping & Park events. He is known as one of the best riders in freestyle for his cannonball barspins and ability to adapt to any street, park or dirt course. He is currently residing in San Diego, California and trains with Coach John Welch at NAKOA Fitness.
