X (The Driver Era Album)
''X'' is the debut studio album from American music duo the Driver Era, released on June 28, 2019, by BMG. Background Brothers Rocky and Ross Lynch had previously been making music together for some time alongside their other siblings, as part of the now defunct pop rock band R5. On March 1, 2018, R5's Instagram and Twitter accounts were changed to the Driver Era, with all previous posts removed. The same day, the band released previews of their first single "Preacher Man", which was later released on March 16, 2018. On August 24, 2018, the Driver Era released their next single, "Afterglow", first made available on their YouTube channel before eventually being put onto Spotify. Their third single, "Low", was released on October 26, 2018. The Driver Era (TDE) (stylized as THE DRIVER ERΛ) is an American music duo consisting of brothers Rocky and Ross Lynch. Both are former members of the now defunct R5. History 2018–present: R5 to The Driver Era and ''Preacher Man'' On March 1, 2018, R5's Instagram and Twitter handles were changed to The Driver Era and all of R5's previous posts were deleted. On March 2, 2018, Ross announced via Instagram story that The Driver Era would be a band consisting of him and his brother Rocky. On the same day as their social media changes, previews of their debut single "Preacher Man" were posted on Twitter and Instagram. The name 'The Driver Era' came from a conversation between Rocky and Ross during a car ride to a party, and the brothers agreed that this name encompassed where their music was headed. Ross Lynch
Ross Shor Lynch (born December 29, 1995) is an American actor, singer, and musician. He was the lead vocalist of the pop rock band R5 and is one half of the band the Driver Era (with his brother Rocky Lynch). As an actor, he rose to recognition for his debut role as Austin Moon on Disney Channel's comedy television series ''Austin & Ally'' and for his role as Brady in the network's ''Teen Beach Movie'' film series. R5 was an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2009. The band consisted of Ross Lynch (vocals/rhythm guitar), Riker Lynch (bass guitar/vocals), Rocky Lynch (lead guitar/vocals), Rydel Lynch (vocals), and Ellington Ratliff (drums/vocals). They released their first EP ''Ready Set Rock'' on March 9, 2010, but it was removed once Ross got his role on the Disney Channel show ''Austin and Ally.'' Edward James Drewett (born 1 April 1988) is a British singer and songwriter who is best known for his contributions and collaborations with acts such as One Direction, Little Mix, Jonas Blue, The Wanted, Olly Murs and SG Lewis.
