XXI Constitutional Government Of Portugal
The XXI Constitutional Government of Portugal ( pt, XXI Governo Constitucional de Portugal) was the 21st Cabinet (government), cabinet of the Government of Portugal, Portuguese government since the establishment of the current constitution. It was established on 26 November 2015 as a Socialist Party (Portugal), Socialist Party (PS) minority government led by Prime Minister of Portugal, Prime Minister António Costa, and ended on 26 October 2019. António Costa
António Luís Santos da Costa GCIH (; born 17 July 1961) is a Portuguese lawyer and politician serving as the 119th and current prime minister of Portugal since 26 November 2015, presiding over the XXI (2015–2019), XXII (2019–2022) and XXIII Constitutional Governments (2022–present). Previously, he was the secretary of state for parliamentary affairs from 1995 to 1997, minister of parliamentary affairs from 1997 to 1999, minister of justice from 1999 to 2002, minister of internal administration from 2005 to 2007, and mayor of Lisbon from 2007 to 2015. Mário José Gomes de Freitas Centeno (born 9 December 1966) is a Portuguese economist, university professor, and politician. From 2015 to 2020, he was Minister of Finance of Portugal in the government cabinet of Prime Minister António Costa of the Portuguese Socialist Party (PS). The Ministry of Finance ( pt, Ministério das Finanças) is a Portuguese government ministry. History The Ministry of Finance has its origins on the Comptrollerships of the Exchequer (''vedorias da Fazenda'') created in the 14th century to run the State's financial affairs. Mariana Guimarães Vieira da Silva (born 8 May 1978) is a Portuguese sociologist and politician who currently serves as Minister of the Presidency in António Costa's XXIII Constitutional Government, effectively No. 2 in the government. Pedro Manuel Mamede Passos Coelho (; born 24 July 1964) is a Portuguese politician and university guest lecturer who was the 118th prime minister of Portugal, in office from 2011 to 2015.
