XHXE-FM
XHXE-FM is a radio station in Querétaro, Querétaro. Broadcasting on 92.7 FM, XHXE carries the La Mejor national grupera music format from MVS Radio. History XEXE-AM 1490 came to air in 1966, known as "Radio Hits" and affiliated to the then-new Grupo ACIR. Two years earlier, in November 1964, the concession had been awarded to María Gloria Leticia Ávila y Vizcarra. The station, operated by Carlos Caballero, was the fourth in the city and carried a wide-ranging music format, plus one of Querétaro's earliest radio newscasts. After a brief stint as Radio Capital from 1978 to 1980, ACIR returned to XEXE in 1980. The station took on the name of "XEXE Radio ACIR 1490" and began broadcasting 24 hours a day. XEXE broke from Grupo ACIR in 1989, moved its studio and transmitter to new facilities, and became known as "Radio Hit 1490 AM". XHOE-FM is a Spanish & English Top 40 (CHR) radio station that serves the state of Querétaro branded as Exa FM. History XHOE hit the air on June 1, 1980, the first commercial FM station in the state of Querétaro. It was known as Estéreo Mundo, a name still reflected in the concessionaire of this station, and owned by the Desarrollo Radiofónico group. In 1993, Desarrollo changed its name to Multimundo, and in the mid-90s, XHOE changed its name to Planeta. Grupera
Grupera (also known as Grupero or Onda Grupera) is a genre of Regional Mexican music. It reached the height of its popularity in the 1990s, especially in rural areas. The music has roots in the rock groups of the 1960s, but today generally consists of four or more musicians using electric guitars, keyboards and drums. The music increased in popularity in the 1980s and became commercially viable, and is now recognized in some Latin music awards ceremonies such as Lo Nuestro and The Latin Grammy Awards. Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). History Grupo ACIR was founded on June 8, 1965, when Francisco Ibarra bought the XEDQ-AM (Radio Alegría) station in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz. During the next two years, three new radio stations were integrated: XEOM-AM in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, XEMM-AM in Morelia, Michoacán, XEMIA-AM in Guadalajara, Jalisco; and three stations of amplitude modulation in the Mexico City: XEL-AM Radio Capital, XEFR-AM Radio Felicidad and XEVOZ-AM Radio Voz. Radio Fórmula
Radio Fórmula is a Mexican talk radio network. Founded in 1968, Radio Fórmula programs are broadcast on more than 100 stations in Mexico as well as several stations in the United States. It is the flagship product of Grupo Fórmula, which also owns the TeleFórmula cable news network and PM Onstreet, an outdoor advertising firm. History Grupo Formula traces its beginnings to 1968, when several Mexico City stations were split from Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta’s Radiópolis system. Among these was XEDF-AM 970. By 1984, Radio Fórmula operated five Mexico City stations: 970 AM, 1470 AM, 1500 AM, 103.3 FM and 104.1 FM.
