XHRPR-FM is a radio station on 88.3 FM in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. The station is owned by Grupo Radiorama and carries the El Heraldo Radio news/talk network. History XHRPR began as XERPR-AM 1070, with a concession awarded in February 1993. It migrated to FM in 2010 and was the first Mexican station assigned to 88.3 MHz. On May 31, 2019, XHRPR flipped from "Oye", with a pop format sharing the brand of NRM-owned XEOYE-FM in Mexico City, to adult contemporary as "Oreja FM". It then changed again on August 11, 2019, to Fiesta Mexicana and a grupera format. XHEOE-FM is a radio station on 96.3 FM in Tapachula, Chiapas. The station is owned by Organización Radiofónica Mexicana and is known as Romántica History XHEOE began as XEOE-AM 810, with a concession awarded on November 16, 1961. ''El Heraldo de México'' is a Mexican national daily newspaper published in Mexico City. Initially founded in 1965, after a 14-year absence of the name, the newspaper was relaunched on May 2, 2017. Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. History Radiorama was founded on December 9, 1970, by Javier Pérez de Anda and Adrián Pereda López. XEOYE-FM is a radio station in Mexico City. Located on 89.7 MHz, XEOYE-FM is a pop-formatted radio station owned by NRM Comunicaciones and branded as Oye 89.7. History XEOYE-FM is Mexico City's oldest surviving FM radio station, on air since August 28, 1957. It started its life as XEBS-FM, later switching callsigns with 100.9 FM to become XEOY-FM. It started with a classical music format, known as "Estéreomil", that remained on air for 39 years. The station was among the first in Mexico to operate regularly in stereo. Tapachula de Córdova y Ordóñez, simply known as Tapachula, is a city and municipality located in the far southeast of the state of Chiapas in Mexico, near the Guatemalan border and the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most important cities of Chiapas economically as the capital of the agriculturally rich Soconusco region as well as port for trade between Mexico and Central America. The area was originally inhabited by the Mam as a region under the control of the Mam state of Xelaju but was first established as a city by the Aztecs in the 13th century. Most of its economic importance has come since the late 19th century with the establishment of coffee plantations. This agricultural production began a history of migration into the area which continues to this day and has left the city with a significant Asian and German cultural presence as well as large Mayan and Nahua indigenous populations.
