McAllen is the largest city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States, and the 22nd-most populous city in Texas. It is located at the southern tip of the state in the Rio Grande Valley, on the Mexico–United States border. The city limits extend south to the Rio Grande, across from the Mexican city of Reynosa. KFXV (channel 60) is a television station licensed to Harlingen, Texas, United States, serving as the Fox affiliate for the Lower Rio Grande Valley. It is owned by Entravision Communications alongside McAllen-licensed Univision affiliate KNVO (channel 48), Class A primary CW+ affiliate and secondary PBS member KCWT-CD (channel 21), and Class A UniMás affiliate KTFV-CD (channel 32). The stations share studios on North Jackson Road in McAllen, while KFXV's transmitter is located near La Feria, Texas. South Texas is a region of the U.S. state of Texas that lies roughly south of—and includes—San Antonio. The southern and western boundary is the Rio Grande, and to the east it is the Gulf of Mexico.
