History XEQO-AM 980 received its concession on November 11, 1972. It broadcast with 5,000 watts and was owned by Zoila Muñoz de Aguirre. The family still owns the station today. History The concession for 630 AM was awarded in May 1955 to Arnulfo Aguirre Salamanca; the station signed on December 5 of that year with 100 watts of power.
