XEPP-AM/XHPP-FM is an AM/FM combo radio station serving the Mountains Region of Veracruz, Mexico, from studios in Orizaba. History XEPP-AM began on 1450 kHz and moved to 1190 kHz in the late 1980s. It was managed over the years by Grupo FM and Grupo ACIR Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). ..., which ceded operation of the station to Grupo Radio Digital and then sold the station itself in 2016. In 1994, this station gained a combo FM, XHPP-FM. This call sign was already in use in the state of Veracruz, on 93.5 FM in Pánuco. Fortín de las Flores is a city in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Fortín de las Flores is the municipal seat of Fortín municipality, which borders the municipalities of Córdoba, Naranjal and Ixtaczoquitlán. It stands on Federal Highways 190 and 180 and the Mexico City to Veracruz railway. In the 2005 INEGI Census, the city reported a total population of 18,965, with 53,311 in the surrounding municipality. Orizaba () is a city and municipality in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located 20 km west of its sister city Córdoba, and is adjacent to Río Blanco and Ixtaczoquitlán, on Federal Highways 180 and 190. The city had a 2005 census population of 117,273 and is almost coextensive with its small municipality, with only a few small areas outside the city. Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). History Grupo ACIR was founded on June 8, 1965, when Francisco Ibarra bought the XEDQ-AM (Radio Alegría) station in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz. During the next two years, three new radio stations were integrated: XEOM-AM in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, XEMM-AM in Morelia, Michoacán, XEMIA-AM in Guadalajara, Jalisco; and three stations of amplitude modulation in the Mexico City: XEL-AM Radio Capital, XEFR-AM Radio Felicidad and XEVOZ-AM Radio Voz.
