The state is d ..., Mexico. It is known as Red 93.3, broadcasting from a transmitter atop Cerro El Vigía in Guaymas. History XHPGYM was awarded in the IFT-4 radio auction of 2017. In December of that year, the municipal government approved the transfer of a parcel of land atop Cerro El Vigía, home to the other broadcast stations in Guaymas, to Sonora Emedios to build its transmitting facilities. The first program produced by the station was its morning newscast "Noticias en Red", which began airing on June 11, 2018, on XHFX-FM 101.3. XHPGYM itself signed on September 3 of the same year. Guaymas
Guaymas () is a city in Guaymas Municipality, in the southwest part of the state of Sonora, in northwestern Mexico. The city is south of the state capital of Hermosillo, and from the U.S. border. The municipality is located on the Gulf of California and the western edge of the Sonoran Desert and has a hot, dry climate and of beaches. The municipality's formal name is Guaymas de Zaragoza and the city's formal name is the Heroica Ciudad de Guaymas. The city proper is mostly an industrial port and is the principal port for the state of Sonora. The city has a well-attended annual carnival, which has been held since 1888. XHFX-FM
XHFX-FM is a radio station on 101.3 FM in Guaymas, Sonora Guaymas () is a city in Guaymas Municipality, in the southwest part of the state of Sonora, in northwestern Mexico. The city is south of the state capital of Hermosillo, and from the U.S. border. The municipality is located on the Gulf of Cal ..., Mexico, also broadcasting on XEFX-AM 630. It is owned by Radio Sonora, S.A. and is known as Amor 101 FM with a romantic format. History XEFX-AM 630 received its concession on March 31, 1955. The 250-watt station was owned by José Ramos Regalado and Guillermo Acosta Ochoa. In 1967, XEFX was sold to Radio Sonora, S.A., and in the 1980s, XEFX increased daytime power to a full kilowatt. XEFX migrated to FM in 2010 as XHFX-FM 101.3. It remains on air because five people would lose all radio service were it to close, per a 2018 IFT study.
