XHOK-FM
XHOK-FM is a radio station on 90.9 FM in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It is owned by Grupo ACIR. History XEOK-AM received its concession on June 19, 1948. It broadcast initially on 950 kHz (soon moving to 920) and was owned by Carlos Roa Montes de Oca, who also built a studio-transmitter link for XEOK in the FM band in the late 1950s. XEOK was sold to Radiodifusión Regiomontana, S.A. in 1963, which boosted its power to 1 kW by the 1980s. In the 1990s, XEOK moved from 920 to 900 kHz which allowed a further power increase to 10,000 watts. ACIR concessionaires have owned XEOK since 2000. For most of the late 2000s and 2010s, XEOK was a news/talk outlet known as "La OK". With ACIR only owning one station in Monterrey, XEOK was selected for second-wave AM-FM migration and signed on XHOK-FM 90.9 in May 2018. Grupo ACIR
Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). History Grupo ACIR was founded on June 8, 1965, when Francisco Ibarra bought the XEDQ-AM (Radio Alegría) station in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz. During the next two years, three new radio stations were integrated: XEOM-AM in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, XEMM-AM in Morelia, Michoacán, XEMIA-AM in Guadalajara, Jalisco; and three stations of amplitude modulation in the Mexico City: XEL-AM Radio Capital, XEFR-AM Radio Felicidad and XEVOZ-AM Radio Voz. XHEMIA-FM is a radio station on 90.3 FM in San Pedro Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, in the Guadalajara Guadalajara ( , ) is a metropolis in western Mexico and the capital of the list of states of Mexico, state of Jalisco. According to the 2020 census, the city has a population of 1,385,629 people, making it the 7th largest city by population in Me ... metropolitan area. It is owned by Grupo ACIR. History XHEMIA received its concession as a Chapala-based station, XEWI. It received its concession in 1963 but was on the air by 1959.
