XHMRI-FM is a radio station in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. Broadcasting on 93.7 FM, XHMRI is owned by Grupo Rivas and carries a grupera format known as La Reverenda. It is simulcast in eastern Yucatán on XHMET-FM 91.9 in Temozon. History The station's concession was awarded in 1991; it has always been owned by the Rivas family. The station was originally known as Super Stereo 93.7. In 2005, the station adopted the Ke Buena national grupera format from Televisa Radio. XHMET-FM
XHMET-FM is a radio station in Mexico in Temozón, Yucatán, Mexico, serving Valladolid. Broadcasting on 91.9 FM, XHMET is owned by Corporativo Rivas and carries a grupera format known as La Nueva Reverenda. History XHMET began as XEME-AM 1490, with a concession awarded in 1972 to Manuel Rodríguez Escoffie. The original concession specified Valladolid as the location of the new AM station. The station later moved to 570 kHz as a daytimer, operating with 2.5 kilowatts of power. In 2006, the station moved its transmitter to Temozón, nine miles (15 km) further down the Valladolid-Tizimín highway. In 2010, it received authorization to move to FM. XHMQM-FM
XHMQM-FM is a radio station on 90.9 FM in Mérida, Yucatán, Merida, Yucatán, Mexico. It is owned by Cadena RASA and carries the La Ke Buena Regional Mexican format from Radiópolis. History XEMQ-AM 1240 received its concession on December 18, 1941. It was owned by Lázaro Achurra Suárez and sold to Radio Mayab in 1970. XEMQ moved to 810 kHz in the 1990s. The name of the format was known as "Tus Panteras Juveniles" broadcasting pop and rock music. The plural panthers in the branding referred to XEMQ broadcasting on shortwave under the call sign XEQM. In 2005, XEMQ began broadcasting Mayan-language programming under the name Yóol lik'. In 2010, the station returned to a Spanish-language format as Átomo 810. Mérida, Yucatán
Mérida () is the capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán, and the largest city in southeastern Mexico. The city is also the seat of the eponymous Municipality. Grupera (also known as Grupero or Onda Grupera) is a genre of Regional Mexican music. It reached the height of its popularity in the 1990s, especially in rural areas. The music has roots in the rock groups of the 1960s, but today generally consists of four or more musicians using electric guitars, keyboards and drums.
