XHGD-FM is a radio station on 90.3 FM in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico. It is owned by the Salayandia family and is known as La Poderosa with a Regional Mexican Regional Mexican is a Latin music radio format encompassing the musical genres from the different parts of rural Mexico and the Southwestern United States. Genres include banda, country en español, Duranguense, grupero, mariachi, New Mexico ... format. History XEGD-AM received its concession and signed on August 19, 1952. It originally broadcast on 1400 kHz with 1,000 watts and was owned by Domingo Salayandia Nájera, though at one point it also operated on 1520 kHz. In the 1990s, XEGD moved from 1400 to 700, and in 2003, it increased its power to 5,000 watts. On its sixtieth anniversary, XHGD-FM was brought into service on 90.3 MHz; the new station was dedicated by Governor César Duarte. Hidalgo del Parral is a city and seat of the municipality of Hidalgo del Parral in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. History Radiorama was founded on December 9, 1970, by Javier Pérez de Anda and Adrián Pereda López. The two founders had previous experience at other radio groups, such as Organización Radio Centro and Radiópolis. Radiorama started with 7 stations, but grew to 150 by 1985.
