XHFM-FM is a radio station in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. It broadcasts on 94.9 FM. History XEFM-AM 1010 received its concession in 1963 and was originally owned by José L. Bravo. Despite this, it was part of the growing broadcast empire of Carlos Ferráez Matos, which also grew to include new television station XHFM-TV channel 2, one of the first affiliates of Televisión Independiente de México Televisión Independiente de México (''Independent Mexican Television'', known on air as TIM or Cadena TIM) was a Mexican national television network founded in 1965 by Eugenio Garza Sada. It operated until 1973, when it merged with its primar ..., in the decade. The station migrated to FM in the late 2000s. This callsign returns XHFM which also the first FM station in Mexico City than opened in 1952 and closed in 1957. In March 31, 2022, it dropped its "One FM" format. XHQT-FM is a radio station in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. It broadcasts on 106.9 FM and is known as La Poderosa. The station is jointly owned by Grupo Radiorama Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. Veracruz (), formally Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave), is one of the 31 states which, along with Mexico City, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. Televisión Independiente de México (''Independent Mexican Television'', known on air as TIM or Cadena TIM) was a Mexican national television network founded in 1965 by Eugenio Garza Sada. It operated until 1973, when it merged with its primary competitor, Telesistema Mexicano, owned by Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta, to form the Televisa conglomerate. Televisa absorbed all of TIM's assets, including its television transmitters and its series, including pioneering programs such as El Chavo del Ocho.
