XHAW-FM
XHAW-FM is a radio station on 101.3 FM in Monterrey, Nuevo León. The station is owned by Multimedios Radio and carries a romantic format known as La Gran AW; since 2012, it has been simulcast on XEAW-AM 1280. The station also transmits the Telediario newscasts from co-owned Multimedios Televisión. History On October 20, 1983, a concession was issued to Francisco Ibarra López, the president of Grupo ACIR, for a new radio station on 101.3 MHz in Monterrey, named XHIL-FM using his initials. Effective July 16, 1993, ACIR sold XHIL-FM to Multimedios, in the person of Francisco Antonio González Sánchez. The station was simultaneously renamed XHAW-FM. XEAW-AM is a radio station located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, with 10,000 Watts, owned and operated by Multimedios Radio and currently simulcasts XHAW-FM's La Gran AW romantic format. The station also transmits the Telediario newscasts from co-owned Multimedios Televisión. XEAW-AM broadcasts on a frequency of 1280 kHz. XHIL-FM
XHIL-FM is a radio station on 88.5 FM in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. History XEOD-AM 1090 received its concession on January 18, 1955. The Boca del Río-based station was owned by Radiofónica Veracruzana, S.A. and broadcast with 1,000 watts. In 1986, XEOD was sold to a group headed by Angel López Corona and including nine other people. The station became known as XEIL-AM. It was sold to ACIR in 1994. When XEIL was approved to migrate to FM in 2010, it became the second station ACIR owned to carry the XHIL-FM call sign. The first was XHIL-FM in Monterrey, which lost its call sign when it was sold by ACIR. Canal 6 (alternately known as Multimedios Televisión) is a network of Spanish language television stations primarily concentrated in northeastern Mexico and the southwestern United States. The system is part of Grupo Multimedios. The flagship station of Multimedios is XHAW-TDT located in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Programming features locally produced news, sports, children's shows and general mass appeal variety programming. Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). History Grupo ACIR was founded on June 8, 1965, when Francisco Ibarra bought the XEDQ-AM (Radio Alegría) station in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz.
