X-Yachts A/S is a Danish shipyard, located in Haderslev in the southern part of Denmark. The shipyard builds sailboats between 35 and 65 feet. History The shipyard was founded in 1979 by the brothers Lars Jeppesen, Niels Jeppesen and their friend Birger Hansen. The first boat, the X-79, got its name due to the length of the boat, which was 7.9 m (7.96 m), and because it was launched in the year of 1979. The boat was the Danish answer to J/24, Albin Express, and Maxi 80 Racer and has won many regattas since the first launch. A total of 468 X-79 were built between 1979 and 1994. The yard builds approximately 150 boats per year. The yard has built over 6,000 boats to clients worldwide since 1979. X-Yachts employs a total of 100 people at the headquarter in Haderslev and has its own moulding production in Poland as well. X-362
The McDonnell Douglas (later Boeing) X-36 ''Tailless Fighter Agility Research Aircraft'' was an American stealthy subscale prototype jet designed to fly without the traditional empennage found on most aircraft. This configuration was designed to reduce weight, drag and radar cross section, and increase range, maneuverability and survivability. Design and development The X-36 was built to 28% scale of a possible fighter aircraft, and was controlled by a pilot in a ground-based virtual cockpit with a view provided by a video camera mounted in the canopy of the aircraft. For control, a canard forward of the wing was used as well as split ailerons and an advanced thrust vectoring nozzle for directional control. The X-36 was unstable in both pitch and yaw axes, so an advanced digital fly-by-wire control system was used to provide stability. First flown on 17 May 1997, it made 31 successful research flights. It handled very well, and the program is reported to have met or exceed ...

X-46 (yacht)
The Boeing X-46 was a proposed unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) that was to be developed in conjunction with the United States Navy and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, DARPA as a naval carrier-based variant of the Boeing X-45 UCAV being developed for the U.S. Air Force. Two contracts for technology demonstrators were awarded in June 2000, to Boeing for the X-46A and to Northrop Grumman for the X-47A. However, in April 2003, the Air Force and the Navy efforts were formally combined under the joint DARPA/USAF/Navy J-UCAV program, later renamed J-UCAS (Joint Unmanned Combat Air Systems), and the X-46 program was terminated as redundant. A Navy-only N-UCAS demonstrator program started in the summer of 2006."Navy UCAS Program Set To Be Launched Within Weeks"

IMX 45
Immature (later known as IMx) is an American R&B boy band, managed by record producer Chris Stokes. Its members include Marques "Batman" Houston (born August 4, 1981), Jerome "Romeo" Jones (born October 25, 1981), and Kelton "LDB" Kessee (born January 2, 1981), all natives of Los Angeles, California, where the group was formed. The group released four albums under the Immature moniker: ''On Our Worst Behavior'' (1992; the only album to include original member Don "Half Pint" Santos, later replaced by Kessee), ''Playtyme Is Over'' (1994), '' We Got It'' (1995) and ''The Journey'' (1997). In 1999, the group changed its name to IMx, marking ten years of being a group and released two studio albums ''Introducing IMx'' and ''IMx'', as well as a ''Greatest Hits'' album in 2001. The group also branched out into film (such as ''House Party 3'' and '' House Party 4: Down to the Last Minute'') and television (such as ''A Different World'', '' Sister, Sister'', ''Family Matters'', ''Soul ...

X-562
The Lockheed Martin X-56 is an American modular unmanned aerial vehicle that is being designed to explore High-Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) flight technologies for use in future military unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. Design and development Designed by Lockheed Martin's Advanced Development Programs, known informally as the Skunk Works, the aircraft was first revealed by ''Aviation Week'', and is intended to research active flutter suppression and gust-load alleviation technologies. The X-56A is based on Lockheed's earlier UAV work, showing influence from the Polecat, Sentinel and DarkStar UAVs. The program calls for the construction of two -long fuselages and a wingspan of 27.5 ft, with four sets of wings being constructed for flight testing. Operational history The X-56A first flew on 26 July 2013, flying from Edwards Air Force Base; twenty flights were to be flown on behalf of the Air Force Research Laboratory before the aircraft would be handed over to NASA for f ...

X-482
The Boeing X-48 is an American experimental unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) built to investigate the characteristics of blended wing body (BWB) aircraft. Boeing designed the X-48 and two examples were built by Cranfield Aerospace in the UK. Boeing began flight testing the X-48B version for NASA in 2007. The X-48B was later modified into the X-48C version, which was flight tested from August 2012 to April 2013. Boeing and NASA plan to develop a larger BWB demonstrator. Design and development Background Boeing had in the past studied a blended wing body design, but found that passengers did not like the theater-like configuration of the mock-up; the design was dropped for passenger airliners, but retained for military aircraft such as aerial refueling tankers."Design of the Blended Wing Body Subsonic Transport."''AIAA Journal of Aircraft,'' Volume 41, Issue 1, January–February 2004, pp. 10–25. * Norris, Guy and Mark Wagner. X-382
The X-38 was an experimental re-entry vehicle designed by NASA to research a possible emergency crew return vehicle (CRV) for the International Space Station (ISS). The 1995–2002 program also developed concepts for a crew return vehicle design that could be modified for other uses, such as a possible joint U.S. and international human spacecraft that could be launched on the French Ariane 5 booster. The program would eventually develop a total of three test prototype flight demonstrators for the proposed Crew Return Vehicle, each having incremental improvements on its predecessor. All three were wingless lifting body vehicles used in drop tests. The X-38 program was canceled in 2002 due to budget cuts. History The maximum crew size for the ISS is dependent on crew rescue capacity. Since it is imperative that the crew members be able to return to Earth in case of an unexpected emergency, a Crew Return Vehicle able to hold up to seven crew members was initially planned by the ...
