Released in February 1999, ''Xray Sierra'' is the critically acclaimed fourth solo studio album by Red Rider frontman Tom Cochrane. Tom Cochrane
Thomas William Cochrane ( ; born May 14, 1953) is a Canadian musician best known as the frontman for the rock band Red Rider and for his work as a solo singer-songwriter. Cochrane has won eight Juno Awards. He is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, an officer of the Order of Canada, and has an honorary doctorate from Brandon University. In September 2009, he was inducted onto the Canadian Walk of Fame. Life and career Red Rider After meeting at the El Mocambo tavern in Toronto, Cochrane joined the Canadian rock band Red Rider in 1978 and served as their lead singer and main songwriter for more than ten years. World Domination Recordings was an indie rock record label founded by bass player and music entrepreneur Dave Allen in Los Angeles. John Webster (musician)
John Webster (born December 18, 1957) is a musician, engineer and producer who primarily plays keyboards. He began his musical career as a child, trained in classical piano until his early teens, and then moved on to playing in rock bands. One of his first bands, Stonebolt, landed a top 30 U.S. hit with its first release in 1978 and went on to record four successful albums. Webster joined the band Red Rider in 1984, performing on that year's ''Breaking Curfew'' album and remaining with the group until they disbanded in 1990. Webster then continued to work closely in productions with its leader, Tom Cochrane, including his highly successful ''Mad Mad World'' album. Through the 1980s and 1990s, Webster worked on many major recordings done in Vancouver's Little Mountain Sound Studios with producers Bruce Fairbairn and Bob Rock. Released in October 2006, it was his first album in seven years following Xray Sierra in 1999.
