Wythenshawe And Sale East (UK Parliament Constituency)
Wythenshawe and Sale East is a parliamentary constituency in the city of Manchester and the borough of Trafford. It returns one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, elected by the first past the post system. The constituency has always been a safe Labour seat, and the southern part of the constituency includes Manchester Airport. The current MP is Mike Kane of the Labour Party who was elected at the 2014 by-election in February 2014. He succeeded Labour's Paul Goggins who died in January 2014, and who had held the seat since its inception in 1997. Manchester Wythenshawe (UK Parliament Constituency)
Manchester Wythenshawe was a parliamentary constituency centred on the Wythenshawe suburb of Manchester. It returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The constituency was created for the 1950 general election, and abolished for the 1997 general election. It was then replaced by the new Wythenshawe and Sale East constituency which joined it with the eastern half of Sale from the Trafford Metropolitan Borough. Baguley
Baguley ( ) is an electoral ward of the city of Manchester in Wythenshawe, England. The population at the 2011 census was 14,794. Baguley is derived from the Old English words Bagca, badger, and Leah, clearing or meadow. Historically in Cheshire, Baguley is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. It was incorporated into Manchester in 1931. Sale is a town in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, in the historic county of Cheshire on the south bank of the River Mersey, south of Stretford, northeast of Altrincham, and southwest of Manchester. Woodhouse Park
Woodhouse Park is an area of Wythenshawe in south Manchester, England. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 13,519. Geography The area incorporates Wythenshawe town centre and borders onto Newall Green but is separated by the M56 motorway from which it is served by Junctions 4 (Wythenshawe) and 5 (Manchester Airport). It also borders on Moss Nook to the south and south-east, Peel Hall to the east and Benchill to the north. All of these are also localities within the Wythenshawe area, the others areas being Baguley, Northenden, Sharston and Northern Moor.
