Wy'east Falls
Wy'east Falls (also Wyeast Falls or Wy East Falls) is a waterfall on a small tributary of Eagle Creek (Multnomah County, Oregon), Eagle Creek in Hood River County, Oregon, U.S. The waterfall is formed by Wy'East Creek, a spring-fed stream that plunges over the Eagle Creek basalt formation. The creek cuts through a narrow and steep ravine and spills off a basalt ledge, plunging in a thin sheet about wide, into a shallow, gravelly pool. The creek then flows for about before emptying into Eagle Creek shortly downstream of Tunnel Falls. Eagle Creek is a creek located in Hood River County, Oregon, in the Columbia River Gorge. A tributary of the Columbia River, the creek flows for approximately from the Thrush Pond between Eagle Butte and Tanner Butte to its mouth near Bonneville Dam. The East Fork Eagle Creek is a major tributary that begins at Wahtum Lake and joins the main stem approximately 2/3 the way between the Thrush Pond and the Columbia River, separated by Indian Mountain. Mount Hood
Mount Hood is a potentially active stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc. It was formed by a subduction zone on the Pacific coast and rests in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States.
