Wu Jiani
Wu Jiani (, born 23 April 1966) is a former female Chinese gymnast. Wu was born in Shanghai. She started gymnastic training in 1973, and was admitted into Shanghai gymnastic team in 1976, and Chinese national team in 1977. Wu competed at 1984 Olympic Games, and won a bronze medal in Women's Team competition. She qualified to the all-around, uneven bars and balance beam finals, but had to withdraw from all of them due to dislocating her elbow after the team competition. She was a five-time Chinese National Champion and a World Championship bronze medalist on beam in 1981. Wu Jiani Salto is a skill of uneven bars with C value. This skill was banned due to the development of the apparatus. Her husband is Li Yuejiu, also a famed gymnast and an Olympic medalist. The UCLA Bruins women's gymnastics team represents the University of California, Los Angeles and competes in the Pac-12 Conference. They currently compete in Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles, CA. Bridgette Caquatto (born March 14, 1994) is an American former artistic gymnast who competed for the University of Florida. She made her national debut in 2007 and won the all-around and uneven bars finals at the 2011 Pan American Games. Early life Caquatto was born to Dave and Lin Caquatto on March 14, 1994. She began taking gymnastics classes at the age of 2, following in the footsteps of her older sister, Mackenzie. Junior career Caquatto's first national competition was the U.S. Classic in 2007, where she finished 19th in the all-around. At her last competition as a junior, the 2009 National Championships, she finished second in the all-around and on vault and placed in the top ten on the other events. Mackenzie Caquatto Jaworksi (born March 26, 1992) is a former artistic gymnast who represented the United States at the 2010 World Championships and competed for the University of Florida. Her younger sister, Bridgette Caquatto, is also a former elite gymnast. She married former elite runner Griffin Jaworski on September 4, 2020. The Nastia Liukin Cup (formerly the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup from 2010–11) is an annual artistic gymnastics competition held in the United States and hosted by Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin. History In August 2009, USA Gymnastics announced that they had partnered with 2008 Olympic champion Nastia Liukin to create a competitive opportunity for the country's top Junior Olympic gymnasts that is intended to serve as a debut for pre-elite competitors on the national stage.
