Wormwood (TV Series)
''Wormwood'' is an Australian children's television program that premiered on Channel Ten on 4 October 2007. It also screened in 2008 on the ABC, as part of the Rollercoaster show. It also premiered on Foxtel's Disney channel on August the 2nd 6pm, Saturday 2008. There are 13 episodes based on the stories by Paul Jennings. Storyline The town of Wormwood is a weird place. The town's main economy is worm farming and selling 'worm poo' but things start to get really weird when the kids meet the Nose of Wormwood, a kid playing banjo, and a monster with indigestion that lives in the forest pond. Kelly Paterniti (born 6 December 1987) is an Australian actress. She is most notable for her role as Tamara Kingsley on the Australian television soap opera ''Home and Away''. Early life and career Paterniti was born in 1987 and grew up in Perth, Western Australia with two other siblings. She became involved with dramatic arts from an early age, and at the age of 13 enrolled at the John Curtin College of the Arts, a high school in Fremantle, Western Australia. Following her graduation from the college, Paterniti furthered her studies at Curtin University, where she performed in many theatrical productions including ''Romeo and Juliet'', ''Cloudstreet'' and ''The Trojan Women''. Shannon James Lively (born 4 May 1992 in Attadale, Western Australia) is an Australian actor. His first television role was Declan in the second series of ''The Sleepover Club''. He graduated in the class of 2009 from Corpus Christi College, Bateman and within that time he also finished working on the Australian television series entitled ''Wormwood''. In 2010, Shannon Lively played Chub Pickles on the Australian miniseries; ''Cloudstreet'', based on the popular novels by Tim Winton and aired in 2011. ''RollerCoaster'' is a children's television show which was broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from between January 2005 and January 2010. Hosted by Elliot Spencer, it was aimed at an older audience than that for ABC For Kids. ''RollerCoaster'' was a "wrapper" show, usually incorporating three to five externally produced animated programs (formerly a mix of animated and live action shows) of varying lengths, which were interspersed with locally produced studio or location segments hosted by Spencer. It was aimed at older children and young teenaged audiences. Paul Jennings AM (born 1943), is an English-born Australian children's book writer. His books mainly feature short stories that lead the reader through an unusual series of events that end with a twist.
