World In Motion (DJ BoBo Album)
Peter René Baumann (born 5 January 1968), better known under his stage name DJ BoBo, is a Swiss singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, and music producer. He has sold 14 million records worldwide and has released 12 studio albums as well as several compilation albums which have included his previous hits in a reworked format. BoBo has also released 34 singles, some of which have charted high not only in German speaking countries, but also in other European territories. As a dance music producer, his first big success came with the single "Somebody Dance with Me", which borrows its melody from Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me". BoBo charted with the singles " Keep on Dancing", "Take Control", " Everybody", "Let the Dream Come True", "Love Is All Around", " Freedom", "Pray", and " What a Feeling", as well as " Chihuahua", almost all of which comprised fast-paced Eurodance sound with female vocals and rap verses performed by BoBo. "Freedom" is a song by Swiss artist DJ BoBo, released in 1995 as the fourth and last single from his second album, '' There Is a Party'' (1994). It reached number four in Switzerland, number seven in Austria and Finland, and number eight in Germany. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it peaked at number 15 in November 1995. Outside Europe, the song peaked at number 93 in Australia. The female singers are Natascha Wright and Lisa Noya. Noya is also the female powervoice on songs by German singer Haddaway and her name is stated for all backing vocals on his album, ''The Album'', which were produced by the same producers that produced "Freedom"; Alex Trime and Sven Delgado. ''There Is a Party'' is the second studio album released by the Swiss singer-songwriter DJ BoBo. It was released on 21 October 1994 through the Fresh Music, Metrovynil as well as EAMS Lesser record labels on compact disc, 12-inch gramophone record and music cassette formats. Hip house, also known as rap house or house rap, is a musical genre that mixes elements of house music and hip hop, that originated in both London, United Kingdom and Chicago, United States in the mid to late 1980s. A one-hit wonder or viral hit is any entity that achieves mainstream popularity, often for only one piece of work, and becomes known among the general public solely for that momentary success. Emel Aykanat (born 8 June 1975), better known as Emel, is a Turkish-Swiss singer. Her first big success came with the single ''Somebody Dance with Me'' with DJ BoBo.
