''World Fairy Tale Series'' (世界名作童話シリーズ・ワ～ォ！メルヘン王国 ''Sekai meisaku dōwa shirīzu - Wa-o! Meruhen ōkoku''?, lit. "World Masterpiece Fairy Tale Series - Wow! Jonathan Swift (30 November 1667 – 19 October 1745) was an Anglo-Irish Satire, satirist, author, essayist, political pamphleteer (first for the Whig (British political party), Whigs, then for the Tories (British political party), Tories), poet, and Anglican cleric who became Dean (Christianity), Dean of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, hence his common sobriquet, "Dean Swift". Space Pirate Captain Harlock
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Leiji Matsumoto. It was serialized in ''Play Comic'' from 1977 to 1979, with the chapters collected into five ''tankōbon'' volumes by Akita Shoten. The series follows the titular Captain, an outcast turned space pirate after he rebelled against Earth's Government and humanity's general apathy. ''Space Pirate Captain Harlock'' was adapted into an anime television series in 1978 directed by Rintaro and produced by Toei Animation. A computer-animated film adaptation of the same name was released in 2013. Ikuko Itoh
is a Japanese animator, character designer, illustrator and animation director best known for her work on ''Sailor Moon'' and as the creator of ''Princess Tutu''. Junichi Sato
is a Japanese anime director, best known for working on '' shōjo''-based anime and in the magical girl genre. He was formerly associated with TYO Animations (formerly Hal Film Maker). Born in Ama, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, his first major work was directing the first two seasons of ''Sailor Moon'' for Toei Animation, after which he handed the position over to Kunihiko Ikuhara, although he continued to storyboard and direct episodes for the later seasons. is a 1978 Japanese anime fantasy film produced by Toei Animation and Tezuka Productions based on the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. is a Japanese anime film based on Hans Christian Andersen's 1837 fairy tale, released in 1975 by Toei Animation. Unlike the Disney adaptation released 14 years later, this film is closer to Andersen's story, notably in its preservation of the original and tragic ending.
