''World Cup Soccer'' is a 1994 pinball machine designed by John Popadiuk and Larry DeMar and released by Midway. It is based on the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Digital versions This table was formerly available as DLC for ''The Pinball Arcade'' until it was removed on June 30, 2018. This was previously published as ''World Champion Soccer'', as FarSight Studios was unable to secure the World Cup license from FIFA. This digital table has many changes; the ''W-O-R-L-D-C-U-P'' lights leading to the left loop are replaced by ''C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N'', ''World Cup USA 94'' on the plastics between left inlanes and outlanes are renamed to ''Champion Soccer TPA 17'', (TPA bring an abbreviation of “The Pinball Arcade” and 17 being in reference to the year it was released as DLC: 2017) and the backglass is also changed to avoid possible lawsuits from FIFA for using the tournament's mascot Striker, ''World Cup USA 94'' name and any other references to World Cup USA 1994. without required licens ... Mortal Kombat (series)
''Mortal Kombat'' is an American media franchise centered on a series of video games originally developed by Midway Games in 1992. The development of the first game was originally based on an idea that Ed Boon and John Tobias had of making a video game starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, but when that idea fell through, a science fantasy-themed fighting game was created instead. Still, the developers paid homage to him with Johnny Cage (one of the main characters in the franchise), a fictional film star whose personal style resembles Van Damme's. The original ''Mortal Kombat'' was the first fighting game to introduce a secret fighter, reached if the player fulfilled a set of requirements. Soldier Field
Soldier Field is a multi-purpose stadium on the Near South Side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Opened in 1924 and reconstructed in 2003, the stadium has served as the home of the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL) since 1971, as well as Chicago Fire FC of Major League Soccer (MLS) from 1998 to 2005 and since 2020. A football pitch (also known as soccer field) is the playing surface for the game of association football.
