''Word on tha Streets'' is the debut solo studio album by American rapper Bad Azz from Long Beach, California. It was released on September 29, 1998 via Priority Records. It features guest appearances from Big Tray Deee, Kurupt, Lil' Beau, Low Life Gangstas, Ms. Legacy, Outlawz, Snoop Dogg, The Comrads and The Lady of Rage. The album peaked at #182 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and #32 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts in the United States. Jamarr Antonio Stamps (November 27, 1975 – November 11, 2019), better known by his stage name Bad Azz, was an American rapper and member of Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta Crips. Life and career Jamarr Antonio Stamps was born in Hawaiian Gardens, California, and grew up in Long Beach. He began his career rapping at house parties and joined the LBC Crew. After having a guest verse on the Tupac song "Krazy" in 1996 he was set to sign to Tupac's proposed record label, Makaveli Records. After being briefly signed to Snoop Dogg's label Doggystyle Records, Bad Azz made various guest performances before debuting on Priority Records in 1998 with '' Word on tha Streets''. The Comrads was American gangsta rap duo from Lynwood, California, composed of Kelly " K-Mac" Garmon and Terrell "Gangsta" Anderson. The pair made a major splash in the Los Angeles area in the summer of 1997 with the single "Homeboyz" from their self-titled debut album. WhoSampled is a website and app database of information about sampled music or sample-based music, cover songs and remixes. History Nadav Poraz founded the site in London, England in 2008, as a way to track musical samples and cover songs. Mobile apps were released in 2012 and 2014 for iPhone and Android, respectively. Tracy Lamar Davis (born April 27, 1966), better known by his stage name Big Tray Deee (formerly Tray Deee and Tracy Deee), is an American rapper signed with Snoop Dogg's label Dogghouse Records. Katari Terrance Cox (born December 30, 1976) better known by his stage name Kastro, is an American rapper.
