The Comrads
The Comrads was American gangsta rap duo from Lynwood, California, composed of Kelly "K-Mac" Garmon and Terrell "Gangsta" Anderson. The pair made a major splash in the Los Angeles area in the summer of 1997 with the single "Homeboyz" from their self-titled debut album. The duo signed with Mack 10's Hoo-Bangin' Records and released their sophomore studio album '' Wake Up & Ball'' in 2000. Lynwood is a city in Los Angeles County, California. At the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 69,772, down from 69,845 at the 2000 census. Lynwood is located near South Gate and Compton in the central portion of the Los Angeles Basin. Incorporated in 1921, the city is named for Lynn Wood Sessions, wife of a local dairyman, Charles Sessions. ''Bow Down'' is the debut studio album by American West Coast hip hop supergroup Westside Connection. It was released on October 22, 1996, through Priority Records. Recording sessions took place at Ice Cube's house studio, Westsiiiiide Studios, in California, except for the song "Gangstas Make the World Go Round", which was recorded at Treehouse Studios in South Africa. Aaron Tyler (born May 22, 1971), better known by his stage name MC Eiht (pronounced MC eight), is an American rapper and actor. Many of his songs are based on his life in Compton. His stage name was partly inspired by the numeral in KRS-One's name. He chose Eiht for its links to "hood culture", including Olde English 800 (8 Ball) and .38 caliber firearms. The Road Dawgs were an American hip hop duo composed of G-Luv and Swamp Rat. They started their career as associates of Naughty by Nature in 1993. They then signed a deal with Mack 10's Hoo-Bangin' Records in the late 90s and issued their only album in 1999 entitled '' Don't Be Saprize''. The duo first appeared on Naughty by Nature's "Klickow-Klickow" with the Rottin Razkals in 1993. The song appeared as a B-Side on the " Written on Ya Kitten" single but it was left off the ''19 Naughty III'' album. "Klickow-Klickow" instead appeared on Naughty's next album, ''Poverty's Paradise'' in 1995. Jamarr Antonio Stamps (November 27, 1975 – November 11, 2019), better known by his stage name Bad Azz, was an American rapper and member of Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta Crips. Life and career Jamarr Antonio Stamps was born in Hawaiian Gardens, California, and grew up in Long Beach. He began his career rapping at house parties and joined the LBC Crew. After having a guest verse on the Tupac song "Krazy" in 1996 he was set to sign to Tupac's proposed record label, Makaveli Records.
