WordWorld
''WordWorld'' (also sometimes referred to as ''Word World'') is an American children's CGI animated television series that is based on the books and the wooden puzzles of the same name. ''WordWorld'' debuted on PBS Kids and was created by Don Moody, Jacqueline Moody, Peter Schneider and Gary Friedman. ''WordWorld'' is produced by The Learning Box and WTTW Chicago. The series premiered on September 3, 2007, and concluded on January 17, 2011 after airing three seasons and 45 episodes. PBS would air reruns starting 2017 on the national 24-hour PBS Kids channel until 2022. Premise In the series, when letters are combined to spell words, they morph into the shape of the corresponding object. The animal characters and many objects are made of letters, and are respectively called WordFriends and WordThings. Don Moody
Don Moody (born March 16, 1962) is the executive producer and creator of several children's television shows including ''WordWorld'', a three-time Emmy Award winning animated series that airs in over 90 countries, in 12 languages. Early career Moody began his career as a fine artist, then founded Moody Communications, a Manhattan-based advertising agency that serviced accounts in entertainment, internet technology, telecommunications, and fashion. Moody handled the branding, advertising, merchandising and licensing business for accounts such as Lucas Films, Disney, Mattel, Nine West and Sprint PCS. Peter Linz (born June 28, 1967) is an American puppeteer. His most prominent role is being the performer for the character Walter who was introduced in the 2011 feature film ''The Muppets''. WTTW (channel 11) is a PBS member television station in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Owned by not-for-profit broadcaster Window to the World Communications, Inc., it is sister to commercial classical music radio station WFMT (98.7 FM). Educational television or learning television is the use of television programs in the field of distance education.
