WordWorld
''WordWorld'' is an American animated children's television series based on the books and the wooden puzzles of the same name. The series was created by Don Moody, Jacqueline Moody, Peter Schneider and Gary Friedman, it was produced by Word World, LLC, The Learning Box and WTTW National for PBS Kids. ''WordWorld'' aired on PBS Kids from September 3, 2007 to January 17, 2011, with PBS later airing reruns on the national 24-hour PBS Kids channel from January 16, 2017 to October 2, 2022. The series consisted of 3 seasons and 45 episodes (90 segments total). Premise In the series, when letters are combined to spell words, they morph into the shape of the corresponding object. The animal characters and many objects are made of letters, and are respectively called WordFriends and WordThings. Don Moody
Don Moody (born March 16, 1962) is the executive producer and creator of several children's television shows including ''Mia & Codie,'' an animated preschool series about coding, and ''WordWorld'', a three-time Emmy Award winning animated series that airs in over 90 countries, in 12 languages. Early career Moody began his career as a fine artist, then founded Moody Communications, a Manhattan-based advertising agency that serviced accounts in entertainment, internet technology, telecommunications, and fashion. Moody handled the branding, advertising, merchandising and licensing business for accounts such as Lucasfilm, Disney, Mattel, Nine West and Sprint PCS. Jacqueline Moody is a writer, editor and producer. She is the founder and CEO of YadaYadaCo., which provides editorial, production and content development services in the children’s media space. She co-created and wrote for the children's television show '' WordWorld'', which aired in over 90 countries. Career Moody studied creative writing and playwriting at Lehman College, City University of New York.
