Worcestershire Women Cricket Team
The Worcestershire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Worcestershire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Chester Road, Kidderminster and Stourbridge Road, Himley. They are captained by Chloe Hill. In 2019, they played in Division Two of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the West Midlands regional side Central Sparks. History Worcestershire Women played their first recorded match in 1949, against Cheshire, which they won by 75 runs. Chloe Hill
Chloe Anne Elizabeth Hill (born 3 January 1997) is an English cricketer who currently captains Worcestershire, as well as playing for South East Stars and London Spirit. She plays as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batter. She has previously played for Buckinghamshire, Central Sparks and Southern Vipers. Early life Hill was born on 3 January 1997 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Domestic career Hill made her county debut in 2012, for Buckinghamshire against Norfolk. 2009 Women's Twenty20 Cup
The 2009 Women's Twenty20 Cup was the inaugural cricket Women's Twenty20 Cup tournament. It took place in July, with 32 teams taking part: 30 county teams plus Wales and Scotland. Surrey Women won the Twenty20 Cup, as champions of Division One. The tournament ran alongside the 50-over 2009 Women's County Championship. Competition Format Teams played matches within a series of divisions with the winners of the top division being crowned the Champions. Matches were played using a Twenty20 format. Emily Louise Arlott (born 23 February 1998) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Worcestershire, Central Sparks and Birmingham Phoenix. She plays primarily as a right-arm medium-fast bowler. In June 2021, Arlott received her maiden call-up to the England women's cricket team, ahead of their home series against India. The Warwickshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Warwickshire. They play their home games at Edgbaston Foundation Sports Ground, Birmingham, and are captained by Marie Kelly. In 2019, they won the Women's Twenty20 Cup. Milly Home (born 27 February 2001) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Worcestershire, on loan from Warwickshire. She plays as a right-handed batter. She has previously played for Shropshire and Central Sparks, and has represented England at lacrosse at age-group level. Domestic career Home made her county debut in 2015, for Shropshire against Cornwall. In her third match, she scored her maiden county half-century, hitting 53 in a victory over Dorset. In 2016, Home made her Twenty20 high score, scoring 36 * against Hertfordshire. North East Warriors
North East Warriors is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic counties of County Durham and Northumberland. They play their home matches at grounds across the two counties, including Stocksfield Cricket Club Ground, Stocksfield and Manor Road, Willington. They are captained by Laura Ellison. The team was formed ahead of the 2020 season, with Durham and Northumberland deciding to merge at both youth and senior levels in order to provide a "united high performance pathway" for the region. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they did not take part in any formal competitions in 2020, only playing friendlies, but went on to compete in the Women's Twenty20 Cup from 2021 onwards. Fast bowling (also referred to as pace bowling) is one of two main approaches to bowling in the sport of cricket, the other being spin bowling. Wales Women's National Cricket Team
The Wales women's cricket team is the Welsh team for women's cricket. They play their home matches at various grounds across the country, including Spytty Park, Newport and Pontarddulais Park, Pontarddulais. They are captained by Lauren Parfitt. As in men's cricket, Wales does not normally compete as a separate country internationally, instead being represented as part of the England team, but in 2005 they played in the European Championship tournament as it was being held in Wales. West Midlands Regional Cup
The West Midlands Regional Cup is a domestic women's one-day cricket competition in England. Organised by the Central Sparks regional team, the tournament involves four teams based in or near the West Midlands, with its first edition taking place in 2022. 2022 Women's Twenty20 Cup
The 2022 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022 Vitality Women's County T20, was the 13th edition of the Women's Twenty20 Cup, an English women's cricket Twenty20 domestic competition. It took place in April and May 2022, with 35 teams taking part, organised into eight regional groups. There was no overall winner, with Lancashire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Suffolk, Leicestershire and Rutland, Sussex, Middlesex and Devon winning their individual groups.
