Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific
The Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific was founded in 2018 by The R&A and the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, to create an event corresponding to The Womens Amateur Championship and U.S. Women's Amateur for Asia, analogous to the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship for men. It was one of the "elite" tournaments in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. The winner earns invitations to play in two major championships – the Women's British Open and The Evian Championship The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. Yuka Saso
is a Philippine-born Japanese professional golfer. She competed for the Philippines through 2021, having won the first ever gold medal for the Philippines in both women's individual and women's team event in Asian Games golf competitions. (born 4 August 2000) is a Japanese professional golfer. After playing on the LPGA of Japan Tour where she has six wins, she joined the LPGA Tour in 2023. Early life and amateur career Nishimura attended Osaka University of Commerce High School. As an amateur, she finished 6th at the 2016 Japan Women's Open, four strokes behind winner Nasa Hataoka.
