Wolf Girl (British Band)
Wolf Girl was a four-piece indie pop band from London, England. The band consisted of Healey Becks, Christabel Williams, Chris Wood and Carl Farrugia. After releasing EP ''Mama's Boy'' on Soft Power Records in 2014, the band released their debut album ''We Tried'' with Odd Box Records in 2016. They played Indietracks Festival in 2014 and 2018 and the prestigious Sŵn Festival in Cardiff at the end of 2016. Second album ''Every Now & Then'' was released on Everything Sucks Music in October 2018. Musically, they have been compared to The Flatmates, C86, Scarlet's Well, Sarah Records, Veronica Falls, Weezer, and Diet Cig. Sarah Records
Sarah Records was a British independent record label active in Bristol between 1987 and 1995, best known for its recordings of indie pop, which it released mostly on 7" singles. On reaching the catalogue number SARAH 100, the label celebrated its 100th release by throwing a party and shutting itself down. In March 2015, ''NME'' declared Sarah to be the second greatest indie label of all time. Origins The label was formed in Bristol in 1987 by Clare Wadd and Matt Haynes and grew out of the fanzine scene at the time, Haynes having previously edited '' Are You Scared To Get Happy?'' and Wadd ''Kvatch''. Diet Cig is an American indie rock duo that formed in September 2014 in New Paltz, New York, United States. The band consists of Alex Luciano on guitar/vocals and Noah Bowman on drums. Their first studio album, ''Swear I'm Good At This'', was released in April 2017. Their second studio album, Do You Wonder About Me, was released in May 2020. Luciano and Bowman met at a house show in New Paltz during the summer of 2014. Bowman's old band, Earl Boykins, was playing at the house show, where Luciano needed a cigarette lighter. She interrupted the band's set to ask Bowman for one, but he gave her a bottle of wine instead. Afterwards, Luciano got his number and told him she'd make a music video for him. The next day, Bowman tattooed a daisy on Luciano's foot and by August 2014, the pair were making music together. Weezer
Weezer is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1992. Veronica Falls were an English indie pop band that formed in London in 2009. The band consisted of Roxanne Clifford and James Hoare, both on vocals and guitar, Marion Herbain on bass guitar and Patrick Doyle on drums and backing vocals. The members of the band were formerly in the bands The Royal We and Sexy Kids. The band released several singles in the United Kingdom and the United States throughout 2010.
