Wolf Entertainment is an American television production company founded in 1988 by producer Dick Wolf, known for its television franchises ''Law & Order'', '' Chicago'', and ''FBI''. In February 2020, Wolf Entertainment signed one of the largest deals in television history. The nine-figure deal, which spans broadcast and streaming, keeps the company and its high-profile projects at Universal Television, the company's long-time home, for an additional five years. Originally named Wolf Films, the company was rebranded to Wolf Entertainment in 2019. As of July 2021, the company had produced around 1900 hours of television and received 94 Emmy nominations. Richard Anthony Wolf (born December 20, 1946) is an American film and television producer, best known for his Law & Order (franchise), ''Law & Order'' franchise. Since 1990, the franchise has included six police/courtroom dramas and four international spinoffs. ''Nasty Boys'' is an American action drama television series based on the real life Narcotics Officers of the North Las Vegas Police Department. It follows the 1989 film ''Nasty Boys'' and aired on NBC from February 19 to May 18, 1990. Overview The innovative cops were known locally as the NTNB which stood for the North Town Narcotics Bureau but quickly were nicknamed the North Town "Nasty Boys" by the local drug dealers because of the unit's all black hooded raid uniforms and their quick breaching methods for serving search warrants.
