"With Every Heartbeat" is a 1989 single by the British pop group Five Star. It was their last single for RCA, the label they signed with in 1983. It reached #49 on the UK charts. The song never appeared on a studio album, but was included on the group's '' Greatest Hits'' album, released later in 1989. Five Star
Five Star (also styled as 5 Star) are a British pop group, formed in 1983 and comprising siblings Stedman, Lorraine, Denise, Doris and Delroy Pearson. Between 1985 and 1988, Five Star had four top 20 albums and 15 top 40 singles in the UK, including the top 10 hits " System Addict" (1986), "Can't Wait Another Minute" (1986), " Find the Time" (1986), " Rain or Shine" (1986), " Stay Out of My Life" (1987) and "The Slightest Touch" (1987). They won the 1987 Brit Award for Best British Group. Biography 1980s The five-piece group of siblings from Romford were masterminded by their father and manager, Buster Pearson, who modelled them in the style of the Jackson 5. He was a former recording artist and session musician who had worked with Wilson Pickett and had set up Tent Records Ltd in 1982. Greatest Hits (Five Star Album)
''Greatest Hits'' is a compilation album by the British pop group Five Star released in 1989. It was the group's first 'greatest hits' collection after a run of successful singles and albums since 1985. It contains all of the band's UK Top 50 singles including the non-album single, "With Every Heartbeat", which was released earlier in the year (although that track was not included on the LP version). Another new track, "Something About My Baby", was included on the CD and cassette versions of the album but was not released as a single. This track was composed by David Gamson of the synthpop trio Scritti Politti. The release of ''Greatest Hits'' marked the end of the group's association with RCA Records. However, the album proved to be Five Star's least successful release up to that point, selling only 15,500 copies and peaking at a lowly #53 on the UK Albums Chart, highlighting the band's rapid decline in popularity. Tent
A tent () is a shelter consisting of sheets of fabric or other material draped over, attached to a frame of poles or a supporting rope. While smaller tents may be free-standing or attached to the ground, large tents are usually anchored using guy ropes tied to stakes or tent pegs. RCA Records Singles
The RCA Corporation was a major American electronics company, which was founded as the Radio Corporation of America in 1919. It was initially a patent trust owned by General Electric (GE), Westinghouse, AT&T Corporation and United Fruit Company.
