The 9th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is entirely contained within Milwaukee County. It comprises part of the city of Milwaukee's south side, including the Layton Park neighborhood, Southgate, and Polonia. The district also contains the Mitchell Park Domes and the historic Forest Home Cemetery. The district is represented by Democrat Marisabel Cabrera, since January 2019. Wisconsin Senate, District 3
The 3rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is entirely contained within central Milwaukee County. It comprises much of the city of Milwaukee's near-south side, as well as the village of West Milwaukee and eastern parts of the cities of West Allis and Greenfield. The district contains landmarks such as American Family Field (home of the Milwaukee Brewers), Walker's Point Historic District, the Mitchell Park Domes, and the historic Forest Home Cemetery. Josh Zepnick
Josh Zepnick (born March 21, 1968) is a former Democratic Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 9th Assembly District from 2003 until 2019. Biography Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Zepnick received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota. He has worked for the Milwaukee Jobs Initiative, the Milwaukee Community Service Corps, the Urban Economic Development Association of Wisconsin, and the Center for Democracy and Citizenship, and has been an aide to Wisconsin State Senator Bob Jauch and Congressman David R. Tim Carpenter
Timothy W. Carpenter (born February 24, 1960) is an American politician and Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the 3rd Senate district since 2003. He previously served 18 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1985–2003). Early life and education Carpenter was born on February 24, 1960, at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee. He graduated from Milwaukee's Casimir Pulaski High School and attended Marquette University in 1978, before transferring to University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he received his bachelor's degree in political science and history in 1982. He continued graduate work at Milwaukee, but was interrupted when he was elected to the Legislature in 1984. Walter Kunicki
Walter J. Kunicki (born June 9, 1958) is an American politician and former Wisconsin legislator. He was the 71st Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly, serving for the 1991-1992 and 1993-1994 sessions. A Democrat, he served 18 years in the Assembly representing south-central Milwaukee. Biography Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kunicki graduated from Milwaukee Technical High School and received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 1980. Gerald Daniel Kleczka (; November 26, 1943 – October 8, 2017) was an American politician and Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from 1984 to 2005, representing .
