The 7th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises part of central Milwaukee County, including the village of West Milwaukee and eastern parts of the cities of West Allis and Greenfield, as well as several neighboring wards of the city of Milwaukee. The district is represented by Democrat Daniel Riemer, since January 2013. The 7th Assembly district is located within Wisconsin's 3rd Senate district, along with the 8th and 9th 9 (nine) is the natural number following and preceding . The 8th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is entirely contained within Milwaukee County. It comprises part of the city of Milwaukee's near-south side, including the Walker's Point Historic District, the Historic Mitchell Street neighborhood, and most of Lincoln Village. Peggy Krusick
Margaret Ann "Peggy" Krusick (born October 26, 1956) is a retired American Democratic politician. She was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly for nearly thirty years (1983–2013), representing central Milwaukee County. She was defeated in a primary challenge after redistricting, and lost a subsequent write-in campaign. Background Peggy Krusick is a graduate of Saint Gregory the Great Parish School and Hamilton High School, both in Milwaukee. She received her B.A. in Political Science, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She and her husband have two children. State Assembly Krusick was first elected in 1983, to represent the 17th Assembly District. Peter Bock
Peter Bock (born December 12, 1948) is a Wisconsin politician. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bock graduated from Marquette University High School and from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. He also went to the University of Notre Dame. Bock worked at a parcel company and was a laborer. In 1986, he was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly serving from 1987 until 2003 as a Democrat. Gwen Moore
Gwendolynne Sophia Moore (born April 18, 1951) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2005. In 2016, Moore was elected to serve as caucus whip of the Congressional Black Caucus for the 115th United States Congress. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Her district is based in Milwaukee and as a result of the 2011 redistricting also includes some Milwaukee County suburbs: Bayside, Brown Deer, Cudahy, Fox Point, Glendale, St. Francis, South Milwaukee, West Milwaukee, Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. Dismas Becker
Dismas Becker (September 16, 1936 – September 19, 2010) was an American Democratic politician, civil rights activist, and former Discalced Carmelite friar and Catholic priest from Wisconsin. Life and career Born Paul Vincent Becker in 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after graduating from high school he entered the Order of Discalced Carmelites, where he received the religious name of Dismas, named for the Good Thief depicted in the New Testament at the Crucifixion of Jesus. He had his name changed legally in 1986. He graduated from St. Francis Seminary, becoming ordained a priest in 1964, and later earned a Master's degree in Sociology from Marquette University. Joseph Czarnezki
Joseph J. Czarnezki (born September 27, 1954) is an American politician and public administrator from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin Elections Commission, appointed by Governor Tony Evers in 2023. He previously served ten years in the Wisconsin Senate and two years in the State Assembly, representing western Milwaukee County. He also led several city departments under Milwaukee mayor John O.
