Wisconsin's 55th Assembly District
The 55th Assembly District of the Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the northern quarter of Winnebago County, Wisconsin, Winnebago County and part of southern Outagamie County, Wisconsin, Outagamie County. It includes all of the city of Neenah, Wisconsin, Neenah and western parts of the city of Appleton, Wisconsin, Appleton, as well as the village of Fox Crossing, Wisconsin, Fox Crossing. It also contains the Appleton campus of the Fox Valley Technical College, the Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium, Fox Cities Stadium, and the Neenah Light, Kimberly Point Lighthouse. Mike Rohrkaste
Mike Rohrkaste (born September 24, 1958) is an American businessman and politician. A Republican, he was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2015 to 2021, representing Neenah, Grand Chute, and northeast Winnebago County. Early life Born in Dayton, Ohio, Rohrkaste graduated from Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton. He received his bachelor's degree in social science and master's degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University. Career Rohrkaste moved to Neenah, Wisconsin, in 1994. He worked for Miller Brewing Company, Menasha Corporation, and Oshkosh Corporation, before retiring from Oshkosh Corporation in 2014 as Chief Human Resources Officer. Esther is the eponymous heroine of the Book of Esther. In the Achaemenid Empire, the Persian king Ahasuerus seeks a new wife after his queen, Vashti, is deposed for disobeying him. Hadassah, a Jewess who goes by the name of Esther, is chosen to fulfill this role due to her beauty. Ahasuerus' grand vizier, Haman, is offended by Esther's cousin and guardian, Mordecai, due to his refusal to prostrate himself before Haman. Consequently, Haman plots to have all the Jewish subjects of Persia killed, and convinces Ahasuerus to permit him to do so. Dunn County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 45,440. Its county seat is Menomonie. Chippewa County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is named for the historic Chippewa people, also known as the Ojibwe, who long controlled this territory. Barron County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,711. Its county seat is Barron. The county was created in 1859 and later organized in 1874. History The county was created in 1859 as Dallas County (named after Vice President George M. Michael Ellis (American Politician)
Michael G. Ellis (February 21, 1941July 20, 2018) was an American Republican politician. He served 44 years in the Wisconsin Legislature, including 12 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1971–1983) and 32 years in the Wisconsin State Senate (1983–2015), and was President of the Wisconsin Senate for the 101st Wisconsin Legislature and most of the 100th.
