Wisconsin's 55th Assembly District
The 55th Assembly District of the Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the northern quarter of Winnebago County, Wisconsin, Winnebago County and part of southern Outagamie County, Wisconsin, Outagamie County. It includes all of the city of Neenah, Wisconsin, Neenah and western parts of the city of Appleton, Wisconsin, Appleton, as well as the village of Fox Crossing, Wisconsin, Fox Crossing. Mike Rohrkaste
Mike Rohrkaste (born September 24, 1958) is an American businessman and politician. A Republican, he was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2015 to 2021, representing Neenah, Grand Chute, and northeast Winnebago County. Early life Born in Dayton, Ohio, Rohrkaste graduated from Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton. He received his bachelor's degree in social science and master's degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University. Career Rohrkaste moved to Neenah, Wisconsin, in 1994. He worked for Miller Brewing Company, Menasha Corporation, and Oshkosh Corporation, before retiring from Oshkosh Corporation in 2014 as Chief Human Resources Officer. That same year, on November 4, Rohrkaste was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly. He was re-elected in 2016 and 2018, but is not seeking re-election in 2020. Outagamie County is a county in the northeast region of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 190,705. Its county seat is Appleton. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election.
