Hanna Mathilda Winge, née Tengelin (4 December 1838 – 9 March 1896) was a Swedish painter and textile artist. She was one of the five founders of the Swedish women's association Nya Idun. Biography Hanna Mathilda Winge was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. She was the daughter of blacksmith Johan Thimotheus Tengelin and Anna Maria Hultman, and married the artist MÃ¥rten Eskil Winge (1825–1896) in 1867. Winge was a student at J. J. Ringdahls mÃ¥larskola (J. J. Ringdahl Art School) in Stockholm in 1859, and at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in 1864–1867, and the student of Johan Christoffer Boklund (1817–1880). Mårten Eskil Winge (21 September 1825 – 22 April 1896) was a Swedish artist. He was a professor at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts. He was associated with the Düsseldorf school of painting. His art was influenced by the Norse mythology themes also found in works by Nils Blommér (1816–1853) and Carl Wahlbom (1810-1858). Biography Born in Stockholm, Mårten Eskil Winge was the son of the rector and vicar Isaac Martin Winge and Andrietta Sophia Rothman. Winge was educated at the Uppsala Cathedral School, passing his studentexamen in 1846, after which he became an apprentice in painting with P. E. Wallander in Stockholm. Øjvind Winge
Øjvind Winge (May 19, 1886 – April 5, 1964) was a Danish biologist and a pioneer in yeast genetics. Education Winge was born in the city of Aarhus in Jutland, the mainland of Denmark. After completing secondary school he travelled to the University of Copenhagen to study law but found himself more suited to the biological sciences into which he transferred. He graduated with a master's degree in the year 1910. From Copenhagen he travelled to Stockholm, Paris and Chicago, studying mainly chromosomal cytology before finally returning to the University of Copenhagen to do a doctoral thesis entitled ''The Chromosomes: Their Numbers and General Importance''.
