Windsor Road is a notable road in the Hills District of Sydney. It starts from Windsor, New South Wales and ends at Northmead, New South Wales. However, Windsor Road is not continuous. The northern section of Windsor Road (Windsor to Kellyville) is continuous with Old Windsor Road instead, designated route A2. The southern section of Windsor Road forms a T-junction with route A2 at Kellyville. The North West T-way runs next to and parallel to Windsor Road from Kellyville to Rouse Hill. Windsor Road, Nova Scotia
The Municipality of the District of Chester is a Nova Scotia district municipality occupying the northeastern half of Lunenburg County, Canada. The district boundary was originally drawn for court sessional purposes, before the existence of elected local government. In 1879 it became a district municipality, to provide local government to the residents who live outside incorporated towns. under the authority of the ''Municipal Government Act'' of 1998. Windsor Road Historic District
The Windsor Road Historic District is a residential historic district just north of the village of Waban in Newton, Massachusetts.It includes 48 houses on Windsor, Kent and Hereford Roads, a cul-de-sac subdivision adjacent to the village center and the Brae Burn Country Club, which was mostly developed between 1888 and 1920.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Description and history The Windsor Road area was among the landholdings of William Strong, a farmer and real estate developer, who acquired in 1875. He actively promoted the construction of the Circuit Railroad (now the MBTA Green Line D branch), which arrived in 1888, and formed the nucleus of Waban village. Strong laid roads out on his land, and between 1888 and 1907 fifteen houses were built on Windsor Road. Southport Ash Street was a railway station in Southport, Lancashire, England. History It opened as Southport Windsor Road on 10 June 1878 as the temporary terminus of the West Lancashire Railway from Preston. On 5 September 1882 a permanent terminus was opened at Southport Central. The road network in Windsor, Ontario is a grid system with elongated blocks, generally aligned with the Detroit River, with East-West roads running parallel to it, and North-South streets running perpendicular (90 Degrees) to it. This is an adoption from when French Canadian settlers first built farms and streets in the area. Many streets have French names in result, such as Lauzon Parkway, Marentette Avenue (a quiet residential street), Ouellette Avenue (considered by many Windsorites to be its " Main Street"), and Pelissier Street. The current street system of Windsor (grid with elongated blocks) reflects the French method of agricultural land division where the farms were long and narrow, fronting along the river (this originates from French methods of tax collection, with more taxes being paid by property owners with waterfront properties, thus why riverfront lots were usually narrow). Maryland Route 31
Maryland Route 31 (MD 31) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known for most of its length as New Windsor Road, the state highway runs from MD 26 in Libertytown east to MD 140 in Westminster. MD 31 connects the county seats of Frederick and Westminster via Libertytown in eastern Frederick County and New Windsor in western Carroll County. MD 31 originally extended from Frederick to Manchester, using the paths of what are now MD 26 and MD 27. MD 26 assumed MD 31 west of Libertytown in 1933 and MD 27 took over MD 31's route north of Westminster in 1967. The Westminster–Manchester portion of the state highway was constructed as one of the original state roads in the early 1910s. The remainder of the highway was built in the early to mid-1920s. Windsor Road Cycleway
The Windsor Road cycleway is a predominantly off-road cyclepath between Parramatta Park and Macquarie Street, that is generally aligned with the Windsor Road and Old Windsor Road. Route The cycleway accesses the North-West T-way between Darcy Road, to Windsor. Some major road crossings are required, particularly on Old Windsor Road but all are controlled by traffic lights. There are connections to the Parramatta Valley cycleway via Parramatta Park, Toongabbie and Girraween Creek via McCoy Park, Toongabbie Creek cycleway, Blacktown via Sunnyholt Road cycleway and to the M7 cycleway at . Between the stretch from Westmead to Rouse Hill there are some 26 traffic light controlled road crossings and therefore riding along this cycleway is a very stop-start process. The Windsor Avenue Congregational Church is a historic church at 2030 Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The brick Romanesque Revival-style church building, completed in 1872, now houses Faith Congregational Church, whose lineage includes the city's oldest African-American congregation, established in 1819. The church is a stop on the Connecticut Freedom Trail and was listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places in 1993. Architecture and building history The Faith Congregational Church is located in Hartford's northern Clay-Arsenal neighborhood, on the east side of North Main Street midway between Pavilion and Battles Streets. Windsor Mill Road
Windsor Mill Road is a road that runs through parts of Baltimore, Maryland and its western suburb Woodlawn. The road starts as a one-way street named Edgewood Street, then makes a slight left corner and becomes Windsor Mill Road. The road, which is approximately 7½ miles in length, runs parallel to nearby Liberty Road and Security Boulevard, and is often used as an alternative to these routes. Though Windsor Mill Road has no interchange with the Baltimore Beltway, it crosses over the highway, and this point is frequently mentioned in traffic reports. Windsor Mill Road once continued east to near the intersection of Pennsylvania and Fremont Avenues; a short piece survives as School Street.
