2022 Windsor Municipal Election
The 2022 Windsor municipal election was held on October 24, 2022, to elect the Mayor of Windsor, Windsor City Council and the Greater Essex County District School Board, Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire catholique Providence and Conseil scolaire Viamonde. The election will be held on the same day as elections in every other municipality in Ontario. Windsor City Hall is the seat of the municipal government of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The mayor's office and Windsor City Council are housed in the main building at 350 City Hall Square West, while additional city services are located in an adjacent building at 400 City Square East in downtown Windsor. Eddie Francis
Edgar "Eddie" Francis (born May 1974) is the former mayor of Windsor, Ontario. He was 29 years old when he was elected mayor in 2003, the youngest mayor in Windsor's history and one of the youngest mayors ever elected in Canada. He is also Windsor's first Lebanese-Canadian mayor. Background Born in Windsor to Lebanese Maronite Catholic parents who had recently immigrated to Canada from Lebanon, Francis is fluent in both English and Arabic. Percy Harper Hatfield (born ) is a politician in Ontario, Canada. He is a New Democratic member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario who was elected in a 2013 by-election. Irek Kusmierczyk (born January 16, 1978) is a Polish-Canadian politician who was elected to represent the riding of Windsor—Tecumseh in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2019 Canadian federal election. Ward 7 (Windsor, Ontario)
Ward 7 is a municipal ward in the east end of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Its representation on Windsor City Council is currently Angelo Marignani. It contains that part of the city of Windsor east of the Little River and north of the E. C. Row Expressway. It covers the neighbourhoods of Forest Glade and East Riverside. Ward 7 was created for the 2010 municipal elections when Windsor City council went from having five wards (two councillors each) to 10 (one councillor each).
