Willie Intin
John Wilfred 'Willie' Intin (8 July 1886 — 11 April 1970) was a Scottish first-class cricketer. Intin was born in England at Hull in July 1886. He played club cricket in Scotland for Stirlingshire, making his first appearance for the club in 1905. He played cricket for Stirlingshire for 34 years, until his retirement in 1939. In addition to playing club cricket, Intin also made a single appearance in first-class cricket for Scotland against Ireland at Edinburgh in 1920. He took 2 wickets in the Ireland first innings with his right-arm medium pace bowling, dismissing Bob Lambert and Richard Power. He batted once in the match, being dismissed for 14 runs in the Scotland first innings by Lambert. Richard Power (cricketer)
Richard Wood Power FRCSI (2 February 1896 – 3 March 1978) was an Irish first-class cricketer. Power was born at Dublin in February 1896, and was educated in the city at Clongowes Wood College. He studied surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, graduating with an MB in 1920. He played his club cricket in Dublin for Dublin University Cricket Club and Phoenix, Power made his debut in first-class cricket for Ireland against Scotland at Edinburgh in 1920. He played in the same fixture the following season at Dublin. His next first-class appearance for Ireland came in 1925 on their tour of England and Wales, when he appeared against Wales at Llandudno. He toured England and Wales with Ireland the following year, making his final appearance in first-class cricket against Oxford University at Oxford. The Grange Club
The Grange Club is a cricket and sports club in the Stockbridge district of Edinburgh, Scotland. The cricket ground, commonly known as The Grange, is the regular home of the Scotland national cricket team, and is situated adjacent to the Edinburgh Academy sports ground, which is in Raeburn Place. History The Grange Club was founded in 1832, in The Grange district of Edinburgh. In 1872 it moved to its current location at Raeburn Place in the Stockbridge district and has hosted out of its pavilion since 1894. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. Club cricket is a mainly amateur, but still formal, form of the sport of cricket, usually involving teams playing in competitions at weekends or in the evening.
