William Villiers Brown
William Villiers Brown (1843 – 29 April 1915) was an Australian politician. He was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly and the Queensland Legislative Council. Public life Brown was the member for Townsville in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 1885 to 1888 and from 1891 to 1893. He was appointed a member of the Queensland Legislative Council from 1901 to his death in 1915. He served as a minister without portfolio in Robert Philp's government from 1907 to 1908. Queensland Legislative Assembly
The Legislative Assembly of Queensland is the sole chamber of the unicameral Parliament of Queensland established under the Constitution of Queensland. Elections are held every four years and are done by full preferential voting. The Assembly has 93 members, who have used the letters MP after their names since 2000 (previously they were styled MLAs). Toowong Cemetery
Toowong Cemetery is a heritage-listed cemetery on the corner of Frederick Street and Mt Coot-tha Road, Toowong, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was established in 1866 and formally opened in 1875. It is Queensland's largest cemetery and is located on forty-four hectares of land at the corner of Frederick Street and Mount Coot-tha Road approximately four and a half kilometres west of Brisbane. It was previously known as Brisbane General Cemetery. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 31 December 2002. Although still used as a cemetery, it is a popular place for joggers and dog walkers, with its over-hanging fig trees and winding pathways.
